With all of the grumbles and groans from fans, including myself, on the lack of noteworthy moves by the Baltimore Orioles so far this offseason, I thought it would be fun to take a look at the possible 2013 opening day line-ups with the roster right now that Buck Showalter could roll out on April 2nd at Tampa Bay.

The beauty of this is that, barring an injury, we know that Baltimore will be facing left hander David Price on opening day. So first we will take a look at what the Orioles line-up could look like (fully healthy) against Price and the Rays.

There are a couple of spots that could switch, for instance, I could see Reimold hitting 5th and Valencia 7th if Reimold has a great spring or even Hardy moving into the 5th spot. Now let's assume history repeats itself with a certain couple of players. This is what the line-up would look like.

Of these two line-ups, honestly the first one is a pretty potent group of offensive players, but again if history repeats itself, the second line-up is more likely and I see an inferior line-up compared to 2012. I do believe, even without a full blown ace, that Baltimore's pitching staff will again be the strength of this team and has the depth to withstand an injury or two, but the issue is exactly what I did, you could not name your opening day starter right now, and that's what the pitching staff does need.

Let Orioles101 know what you think about our projected line-up, what would you do different? How do you think it looks compared to 2012?
