ORIOLES 101

One of the great Baltimore Orioles annual traditions is the Orioles FanFest, and this year it is set for January 19th, 2013 at the Baltimore Convention Center. This year's FanFest is presented by Visit Sarasota County and will have current and former Orioles players present as well as coaches for the day-long celebration of Orioles baseball. The day will also include clinics, exhibits and interactive games and will begin at 11:00 am and last till 6:00 pm, while season ticket holders get to enter at 10:00 am as part of the Orange Carpet Program.

Tickets for this once a year opportunity are now on sale and only cost $10 for an adult and $5 for children 14 and under, and you can get yours by calling 1-888-848-BIRD, online at www.Orioles.com/FanFest or at the Orioles Park Box Office. Complimentary parking for Orioles FanFest will be available at Lot B/C.

In addition to the activities there are autograph sessions, but you must purchase autograph vouchers as all proceeds will benefit children's charities through OriolesREACH. Autograph vouchers will be available for purchase beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5. Costs for those have not yet been announced.

Also, other FanFest activities include such things as question and answer forums with players, media, and front office staff; memorabilia dealers; clinics for children on a youth sized baseball field; a very cool Spring Training in Sarasota exhibity; and lastly the once in a lifetime opportunity to apply for seasonal employment with the Orioles organization.

It should be another great time at Orioles FanFest in 2013, so do not miss out on this wonderful experience for both adults and kids alike. As schedule permits, I will be there sporting and spreading the word of Orioles101.
