Spring Training is just around the corner and the home stretch of the MLB offseason is in full swing with arbitration deadlines and hearings coming up, and seven Baltimore Orioles filed for arbitration yesterday according to the MLBPA.
Baltimore had already avoided arbitration with some guys such as Tommy Hunter and Nolan Reimold, but still have seven arbitration eligible players left to deal with. Matt Wieters, Chris Davis, Jim Johnson, Troy Patton, Jason Hammel, Darren O'Day, and Brian Matusz all filed for arbitration yesterday.
Friday is the deadline to exchange financial figures between ball clubs and arbitration eligible players, while arbitration hearings will take place between February 4-20 if needed.
