Orioles prospects 8/10: Alex Wells dominates again

Norfolk Tides 6, Rochester (Twins) 4 (12 innings)

The Tides scored a run each in the eighth and ninth innings to tie up the game, then grabbed two more in the top of the twelfth to win it. Mike Yastrzemski led off the inning with a triple, one of two hits in the game. Four total hits in that inning plated two runs for the Tides.

In the “here’s why these pitchers aren’t getting promoted” files, starter Jayson Aquino was lifted after 4.2 innings and 74 pitches thrown with two runs surrendered on five hits and two walks. He was followed by the freshly-bullpened Chris Lee, who gave up five hits in 2.1 innings, with two unearned runs crossing the plate against him.
